ELECTRICAL AWARDS 2019




CDE (NI) Ltd was Highly Commended in the Small Commercial Project category at Northern Ireland’s Electrical Awards. CDE (NI) Ltd was recognised for its work at Dillon Bass, Belfast. The judges said: “The challenges the team had to overcome on this job clearly demonstrates the professionalism of the personnel at CDE.” The judges were impressed with how the team at CDE (NI) worked through the issues presented by this job.




ELECTRICAL AWARDS 2017





CDE (NI) Ltd collected two awards at Northern Ireland’s Electrical Awards 2017, winning a Highly Commended accolade in the Domestic Electrical Installation category as well as the overall Domestic Electrical Contractor of the Year category. The judges were impressed by the company’s work for Clic Sargent that involved seamlessly integrating a refurbished Grade 2 Listed building with a new multistorey extension in Belfast. This project has helped to create an important Home from Home facility, which is vital to families of those going through cancer treatment, as well as new office facilities for the charity CDE (NI) Ltd playing an integral role in the overall design that helped overcome the lack of service voids, electrical cable routes and mechanical ducting routes throughout the building to create a modern, functional building.




NICEIC

NICEIC is the UK’s leading voluntary regulatory body for the electrical contracting industry. It has been assessing the electrical competence of electricians for over fifty years and currently maintains a roll of over 26,000 registered contractors. Choosing an NICEIC registered electrician is a householder’s best way to ensure a safe job. Electricians registered with NICEIC are assessed on a regular basis to ensure high standards and their work is checked against the IEE Wiring Regulations BS 7671 as well as other standards. Approved contractors undergo a rigorous assessment process, covering a representative sample of their work, their premises, documentation, equipment, and the competence of their key supervisory staff. They are then re-assessed on a regular basis to ensure continued compliance. NICEIC regularly promotes the importance of employing an approved contractor to homeowners.

SSIP


Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) is the mutual recognition scheme for occupational health and safety standards particularly within the construction sector. SSIP facilitates mutual recognition between health and safety pre-qualification schemes. Launched in 2012, Acclaim Accreditation is the health and safety accreditation service provided by Supplier Assessment Services.
